One word to describe the year 2020 is “unpredictable.” If landlords haven’t learned anything from this pandemic, they should have learned to always be prepared for the worst.
Landlords in locations where sectors are impacted by the outbreak, should expect vacancy rates to only increase. Disney World and Universal Studios has reopened, but many tourist are still concerned about the increased COVID-19 cases. In order to avoid long vacancy periods, landlords will have to be understanding and show compassion with their tenants. Tenants are financially stressed, landlords are as well. It’s best if both parties keep a level head and continue healthy communication under these unpredictable circumstances.
