Some tenants are grateful for coronavirus because this pandemic won’t allow them to have funds for rent. For landlords and lenders, this is not the case. Many landlords believe that the government should have been clearer when it was suggested that struggling tenants and students be given free rent. Although landlords want to give free rent, many believe it will put the long-term future of rentals at risk.
Landlords have said that suspended rent would put them in an impossible financial situation. Homeowners have been urged by banks to ensure they have an agreement with their lender before they stop making mortgage payments.
